High School Religious Education Grade 9
In grade 9 high school religious education, a plethora of topics are covered in greater detail such as the Holy Mass, reconciliation, the Eucharist and more. The resource for this grade is from Mathew Kelly’s highly acclaimed program “Decision Point.” The program is as it sounds, a line in the sand, and a place where students will begin to decide how serious they will be about their faith developing as they move forward in their lives. It is meant to connect with the challenges that teens face on a daily basis, and we will facilitate encouraging discussion amongst the class to help the students dive deeper into applying this material in real life.
Parents are the primary educators of the faith for your children and want to be able to supplement the discussion and faith-filled example that you provide at home. We encourage parents to talk with their children about the topics discussed in our classes so they can help expand and continue their education in the Catholic faith.
The schedule for grade 9 is modified, however most scheduled classes are for Wednesday evenings during the school year. There are a few exceptions during Advent and Lent where we attend Mass and Reconciliation services.

You will find movies, children’s programs, as well as topics that you can listen to or read about. In a word – the program is excellent.
