Grade School Religious Education for grade 5K through grade 8
Grade 10 high school religious education is a preparation class for the sacrament of Confirmation. This grade will delve deep into numerous aspects of the Catholic faith. Primarily teaching from books by Fr. John Laux which is provided to the students: A Course in Religion, Sacraments, Catholic Morality, and Church History, as well as from Scripture, the Catechism, and Church documents.
Additional resources also used are pertinent videos to supplement the main sources (Classic Catholic books, C.S. Lewis etc.). During the year we also include two opportunities to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation during Advent and Lent, parents/families are encouraged to attend with us. Visits to the Blessed Sacrament for Adoration of Jesus and guest speakers to speak on topics of the Faith, such as religious vocations.
Classes are primarily held on Wednesday evenings during the school year.
